Coral Gables prioritizes building resilience
The United States Conference of Mayors featured Coral Gables’ commitment to resilient buildings in the 2025 USCM Best Practices Report. The city received full credit for the various initiatives in planning and in practice for sustainability. Coral Gables also earned LEED Silver for its Public Safety Building, which incorporates hurricane-resilient design to protect critical services during emergencies.
