Green Project of the Week: 213 Big Bradley Drive

In Wendell, NC, 213 Big Bradley Drive, a certified NGBS Green Home, is our green project of the week. The home was built by Homes by Dickerson. It is an example of how achievable green living is for the everyday American.

The home features a smart ventilation system and dehumidifier, which limits ventilation during extreme temperatures and humidity to save on energy. It also saves on energy consumption and costs though a highly efficient electric heat pump. As well as limiting water use with WaterSense-certified low-flow fixtures.

213 Big Bradley Drive is also located in a wonderful community that prioritizes healthy living. The community it is in includes a fitness center, parks, a saltwater pool and scenic trails. Other homes in the community are energy-efficient homes and start in the mid-$400,000 range.

“Homes by Dickerson has a crystal-clear vision of who they are and what their brand represents. That vision is shared equally on all levels of the organization. Their team is highly trained, highly motivated, and empowered to own their craft. As a result, you get some of the best homes built in the Triangle and a team of folks dedicated to integrating green building practices across their portfolio of projects. It has been great to be part of their journey from the beginning, adopting the NGBS Green program over 15 years ago to see them now lead as certifying more homes than any other single-family home builder in the nation.”
