Inside USGBC Greenbuild 2025

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) hosted Greenbuild 2025 in Los Angeles earlier this month. The event brought together thousands of USGBC members to network and exchange innovative ideas. Many also connected over their commitment to the USGBC mission to transform the built environment. The Greenbuild 2025 event hosted an exhibit hall, CE-accredited education sessions, green building tours and speakers from within the industry

Peter Templeton, President and CEO of USGBC and GBCI, opened the event with a keynote speech.

“The importance of our work building strong and resilient communities,” said Templeton. “Throughout the year, I have seen us unite around our common purpose and humanity,” he said. “Time and again, we have reasserted that creating better buildings for our clients, tenants, investors, families and communities is the right, responsible and smart thing to do. The resolve of our community—even when standing up for our values is harder than standing down—is why I remain optimistic that our movement will continue to grow and thrive.”

For those who missed the event, recordings are available in late November and remain available until February 2026. The next Greenbuild is set for New York City, Oct. 20–23 2026.
