New Homeowner Energy Freedom Act to Protect Low-Cost Home Energy
Congressman Craig Goldman representing Texas’ 12th district introduced a new bill to repeal three Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provisions from the previous administration. Ending green energy mandates that stopped the implementation of gas appliances in an effort to get consumers to use electric alternatives, the Homeowner Energy Freedom Act would restore the choice to select home appliances not limited to the IRA as well as remove regulations and wasteful federal government spending, according to Rep. Goldman. The National Association of Homebuilders says that such green energy mandates cost new homebuyers up to $31,000.
