Resources to Protect Workers from Heat and UV Exposure
As part of UV Safety Awareness Month in July, NAHB urges home builders and contractors to educate workers about the dangers of UV radiation on jobsites. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to serious health risks like skin cancer and eye damage, making sun protection, shade, proper clothing and awareness of the UV index essential. NAHB provides resources, including safety toolkits and videos, to help reduce UV and heat-related risks on-site.
