Senate Passes Tax Bill With Many Wins for NAHB Members
The Senate passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), a major tax and policy package that includes numerous NAHB-supported provisions benefiting the housing industry and small businesses, such as preserving mortgage interest deductions, expanding low-income housing tax credits and increasing state and local tax deductions. The bill also makes permanent several key tax breaks for individuals and businesses, though it phases out important energy tax credits, which NAHB opposes. The House is expected to vote soon, and NAHB continues to advocate for improved transition periods and restoration of key energy incentives.
