Stanford Professor’s Zero Net Energy Home
Stanford Professor demonstrates the future of green energy in the classroom and at home. Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, lives in a two-story, 3,200 square-foot home completely powered by the solar panels on the roof. Jacobson was also named by Climate Insider as one of 10 “clean energy leaders to know and follow” worldwide.
“Electricity is the future for everything. It’s much more efficient. It’s cleaner and it’s cheaper, and it does far less damage to the environment than gas or other types of fossil fuels,” said Jacobson.
