Green Project of the Week: Belmont All Electric 2.0
Auburndale Builders built the Belmont All Electric 2.0 project to be both equally high-performing and beautiful. The clients came to the builder with a vision for modern and Scandinavian design, which is evident in the home’s clean, architectural lines, natural wood finishes and large windows. After moving to Massachusetts from California, they struggled to find a home that blended their vision for luxury and love of the outdoors.
The home blends high-performing features with modern luxury, but the backyard steals the show. The super-insulated swimming pool is embraced by the two wings of the home, making it a focal point for entertaining and outdoor living.
In a collaborative effort between the builder, architect and landscape designer, the home was installed with energy-efficient cooling and heating systems, high-performance windows and doors and a backup battery with off-grid capacity.
