Denver adopts updated energy rules
The Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency adopted updated rules to the Energize Denver Building Performance Policy. The new rules help manage the reduction of energy use, tailored to each building. As one of the eight cities worldwide to achieve LEED Platinum status, Denver continues its efforts towards building a sustainable city, from large buildings to homes.
The updated rules include providing clarity and flexibility around compliance deadlines, clarifying compliance pathways and options for flexibility for buildings with unique circumstances and codifying manageable and achievable compliance options requested by the building community. The new rules also include transparency and certainty around enforcement options and processes.
