Green Project of the Week: Bronzeville
Greenline Homes celebrated the completion of four homes in Bronzeville, the first of what will become 28 all-electric, solar-powered homes, the largest of its kind in Chicago. Homes in Bronzeville will include insulated windows, all-electric heat pumps and water heaters and state-of-the-art appliances, all carefully selected for high-performance, attainable living.
Greenline Homes’ signature two-flat house plan and energy-efficient features lower costs and provide opportunities for multi-generational housing, attracting a wide range of potential buyers.
The development includes two multi-unit apartments, part of the Chicago Housing Authority’s ongoing Plan for Transformation to redevelop public housing property along the State Street Corridor.
