Phius-certified projects are moving faster
A recent analysis of Phius-certified buildings’ completion time in Massachusetts and New York revealed a downward trend in the number of days to receive Phius Certification. The data proved that Phius projects are indeed moving faster. Across both states, there is a clear drop in the number of days it takes to achieve certification the closer a project’s registration date is to the present day.
According to Isaac Elnecave, Senior Policy Analyst at Phius, the thought process is that as the number of Phius-certified projects increases, the construction professionals involved in designing and building them, such as architects, engineers and builders, presumably become more experienced. Such experience includes mastering new construction techniques and requirements, including robust air sealing, exterior insulation and the design and installation of heat or energy recovery ventilators.
