Green Project of the Week: Hilltop Ell
Set within an existing hilltop clearing in upstate New York, the Hilltop Ell is an energy-efficient home built around views with high-performance features. Hilltop Ell was built as an all-electric home, combining a high-performance enclosure, triple-glazed windows, air-to-air heat pumps and solar on the garage to support year-round comfort and energy efficiency.
At 2,600 square feet, the single-level project includes two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and a screened porch that extends the living space outdoors. The bright interior maximizes natural light to reduce energy use and inspire wellness throughout every corner.
