Green Project of the Week: Modern Victorian House
In a collaboration with Joseph Design Builds, Revent Builds designed a project that blends sustainable features with the beauty of 19th-century Victorian style. The Modern Victorian was designed with two 26 SEER variable-speed carrier HVAC systems, a dehumidifier, a tankless water heater and an encapsulated envelope with foam insulation. The home is embedded with smart technology to control all lighting, audio, video, TVs, garage door, front door lock, pool equipment, retractable awning and more, all operable from smart wall switches, smart panels or a phone or tablet.
Deep olive cabinetry, striking marble surfaces and brass accents create a dramatic yet inviting atmosphere. Every detail, from the sculptural lighting to the custom millwork, reflects a perfect balance of modern functionality and classic Victorian sophistication.
The home’s exterior blends classic architectural charm with sleek contemporary design. Bold black siding, warm cedar shingles, and elegant curved forms create a striking balance between old-world sophistication and modern edge.
